Beloved daughter of the late Glenn and Alice King, sister of the late Glenda Sue Metzer and of Mary Alice Elam and Glenn King Jr., wife of Angelo, mother of Michael, Andrea, and Aimee, along with Andrea’s husband, Kevin, cherished grandmother of Kayla, Ronan, Ava, Ella, Conal, Noah, and Lila passed from this world on Christmas Day. She carried her spirit with her but left behind so many memories of kindness and warmth for her family, friends, and all others who knew her.

Born in Carrizozo N.M., Sandra pursued a Nursing career, a profession of service to humanity which would cover the width of the United States and the breadth of life from birth to death. Caring for some of society’s most vulnerable, in maternity and geriatrics, her mission was always to treat others as she wished to be treated, with love and compassion, and she stayed faithful to that purpose to the very end.

Angelo, Michael, Andrea, and Aimee would like to thank Sandra’s medical team, the many doctors and nurses who worked selflessly and happily for one of their own. We also would like to thank our extended kin and all kindred spirits who have held Sandra, and us, in their thoughts and prayers. Your genuine sorrow has humbled us and provided comfort as we continue to reflect upon the reach of Sandra’s soul in the stories and tears that together we have shared.

In lieu of flowers or charitable donations, our family asks you to consider preserving a few moments to live as she did. Be still and listen patiently - with all of your heart- to the ones you truly love. In the quiet of their hearts, you will hear all that you need.

Be at peace my Love, my mother, my grammie, my sister, and my friend. You most certainly have earned it.
