Robert Burke

BURKE, Robert ‘Brother' Burke of Dedham, formerly of Hyde Park, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 20th at the age of 82.  

Bob excelled in many sports at Hyde Park High School. His proudest moment was making Boston’s ‘Hub School Grid All Stars’ on the All-Conference team at the age of 16.          

For all those who knew Brother, he will always be remembered as the life of the party with his quick wit. He loved to make others laugh.   

As beloved husband of Antoinette 'Toni' (Jeannetti) of 58 years, their love was one of a kind. Devoted father of John Burke of Dedham and Carrie (Burke) Cromwell and her husband Darin of Burlington. Cherished brother of Mary ‘Patti’ Beatrice and her husband Peter of Raynham and the late Francis E. Burke and Carol Empey. Loving ‘Papa’ of Charlene Burke, Caitlin Foley and Dalya Cromwell. He was adored by many close and loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. 

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Most Precious Blood Church, 25 Maple Street, Hyde Park, MA 02136 on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Care Dimensions in ‘Bob’s’ honor.
