Ralph Rosati Jr Obituary

Ralph R. Rosati Jr. of Hyde Park passed away on Wednesday January 5th at the age of 65. Ralph was a longtime companion of Cathy Pirre. Loving son of the late Ralph Sr and Elena (D’Attanasio). Brother of Ron Kendall and his wife Donna of Canton, Teresa Thomas of Norwood, Anne Beckira and her husband Bill Mealey of Portsmouth NH, David Rosati and his wife Jacqueline of Millis, Diane Carroll and her husband Jim of Somersworth NH, and the late Paul Rosati of Hyde Park. Beloved Uncle of Rachel Rigoli and Joe Kendall; Billy and Jennifer Thomas; Joe Beckira, T.J., Peter and Caroline Wacholtz; and Mariel and Michael Rosati.

Ralph was a lifelong and proud resident of Hyde Park. He was an active member of the Hyde Park Neighborhood Association.  At a young age he took great interest in music, and with his brother and best friend David, they started a band. Ralph played guitar and David was on the drums. With some childhood friends they’d  play local venues in the early 80’s and eventually as they got older they disbanded.  His love of playing the guitar did not end and over the last few years, with the creation of a sound proof room, he gathered some old buddies to start jamming again. This made him happy and he continued to do this until he no longer could. Aside from music he had a strong love for good food. Most recently he enjoyed his 65th birthday celebration eating his favorite foods in the North End with his three sisters. Ralph took pride in keeping the curb appeal to his house immaculate. The lawn was always manicured and looked amazing to all passersby. Ralph enjoyed family gatherings on special occasions and holidays. His love for his family was unconditional. Ralph had a strong bond with his dogs Zena and Josie.  He had to say goodbye to Josie after 16 years as his faithful companion.  It was difficult and broke his heart but he still managed to fight his deadly disease with everything he had until he could no longer fight.  Ralph handled his illness with hope, courage and heroism.  He appreciated every moment he had with his family and friends throughout the past year.
