Hopkins, John S. of Jamaica Plain and formerly Hyde Park, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2021. Beloved son of the late John Hopkins and Gerda (Dengler) Hopkins. He is survived by his son John Lucas Hopkins of Hyde Park. Former husband of Carolyn Hopkins of Hyde Park. His girlfriend Leslie North of Boston. Brother to the late Carol Erekson of Boston. He is survived by his sisters Margarita G. Dawson of Brookline, Millisent Fury Hopkins of Jamaica Plain, Helen Chiu and her husband Ralph Chiu of Hyde Park, Michelle Edwards and her husband David Edwards of Dedham, his brother Gerard Hopkins and his wife Candice of Chicago, Illinois. His 100 year old grandmother Mama Helen Hopkins of Chicago, Illinois. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews and friends. All services will be private at family's request.
