Ida M. (Battaglino) Goffredo, of West Roxbury, formerly of Cambridge, passed away peacefully at home Saturday February 13, 2021 at the age of 92. The daughter of Antonio and Jennie Battaglino. She was survived by her beloved husband Angelo (George) Goffredo. Predeceased by her beloved daughter, Elaine Goffredo. She was also survived by her devoted children Jerome Goffredo of West Roxbury, Joanne Deleconio of Dedham, Karen Goffredo of Hyde Park, Joseph Goffredo and his wife Lorry of Dedham, Donna Englishand her husband Paul of Walpole. Ida was the cherished grandmother of twelve grandchildren; Tara, Jennifer, Jessica, Carol, Nicolas, Amanda, Angela, Leah, Joseph, Shannon, Sophia, and Jack. Ida was the sister of John Battaglino, Anthony Battaglino, Jenny Laurenza, and the late Lillian Riccio, Mary Jacobs and Virginia Teehan. She was survived by many nieces and nephews. Ida and George were happily married for 69 loving years. Ida devoted her life to nurturing her family and touched the hearts of all who crossed her path. Many sought Ida’s advice and wisdom. She was happiest in the kitchen preparing meals for large gatherings with family and friends. Ida was best known for her amazing apple pies and homemade pasta. She treasured spending the winters in Florida at Cocoa Beach and summers in Hull. She was a woman of great faith and shared her love of Our Lady of Fatima, encouraging all to say the Rosary for World Peace. She welcomed everyone with open arms and an open heart.
