McCARTNEY, Richard J. "Chubby" Of Canton, formerly of Hyde Park, passed suddenly on August 24 at the age of 70. Loving grandson of the late James and Jennie Piacitelli. Devoted son of the late Mary F. McCartney. Former husband of Pamela McCartney of Canton. Cherished father of John and his wife Kathleen of North Easton, Kara McCartney of Cumberland, RI, and Linda Angelo of Stoughton. Brother of the late Joseph G. and his surviving wife Evelyn of Norwood. Loving "Chubby" of Matt Cancian and also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday morning from 9-10:30 at the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home, 22 Oak St., HYDE PARK, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Most Precious Blood Church, Hyde Park, at 11.
