The parish of Our Lady of the Cedars of Lebanon in Boston, Massachusetts, is mourning the loss of Bishop Roland Aboujaoude. The parishioners formed a deep attachment to Bishop Roland in the 1960’s when he was sent to Boston College to study for his Master’s Degree in Education. At that time, he, and his companion Fr. David Gabriel, were
residing in Latin parishes, when Richard Cardinal Cushing asked them if they could possibly serve the Maronites of Boston. Our Pastor, Chorbishop Stephen El Douaihy, had recently passed away after suffering a heart attack rescuing the Holy Eucharist from our burning Church. They accepted the challenge graciously, and the rest is history! The impact of their ministry in our parish lives on today. We are deeply indebted to them for all they taught us through their hands-on, humble, style of diligence
and dedication.
Please check back later this week for service details.
May he, and all the souls of the faithful departed, rest in peace.
Amen
