It is with profound sadness and an overwhelming sense of loss that we announce the peaceful passing of Michael G. Eaton, affectionately known as Mike, on April 2, 2024. Born on October 31, 1963, in Brockton, MA, Mike was a beacon of joy and kindness in the lives of all who knew him. At the age of 60, he passed away in the comfort of his cherished city, Boston, MA, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Mike was the beloved husband of Marie (Volz) Eaton, with whom he shared 36 beautiful years of marriage. His unwavering commitment to his family was evident in every aspect of his life. He was the proud son of the late George and Claire Eaton, and a devoted father to his daughters, Jennifer Falconer of Medway and Tracey Volz of Framingham. Mike's role as a father was one he treasured deeply, and his guidance and support shaped the lives of his children in countless ways.

A cherished brother, Mike is survived by his sister, Cathy Eagan, and her husband James of Hanson. His presence in their lives was a source of constant warmth and affection. Mike's love extended to his role as "Gramps," a title he held with honor and joy. His grandchildren, Eddie, Marissa, Kirsten, DJ, and Tristen, along with his great-grandchildren, Lisandro and Levi, will forever hold dear the memories of their time with him. Mike's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, and a multitude of friends who were all touched by his generous spirit.

A graduate of Randolph High School, Mike furthered his education by earning an Associate's Degree, after which he began a long and dedicated career in the Parts Department at Framingham Ford, where he worked for over 20 years. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity and good humor, always willing to lend a helping hand.

Mike's zest for life was evident in his numerous interests and hobbies. A true sports aficionado, he was a passionate fan of all things Boston. He spent countless hours cheering on the Patriots and the Red Sox, attending many games to support his beloved teams. Mike's love for NASCAR was unmatched; he watched countless races and made many trips to Seekonk and other small tracks to witness the thrill of racing firsthand.

Family was the cornerstone of Mike's life. He made it a point to be present for every holiday, birthday, and sporting event for his children and grandchildren. His Sundays were often spent at Nantasket beach, creating lasting memories with loved ones. Mike's social nature shone brightly; he was the sort of person who could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. His friends in Indiana will remember his visits fondly, as will those who shared his love for movies and those who rode alongside him on their trikes in years gone by.

Described by those who knew him best as loving, kind, and adventurous, Mike's presence was a gift to all. His ability to connect with people, his adventurous spirit, and his boundless kindness are traits that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of crossing his path.

As we bid farewell to Michael G. Eaton, we do so with heavy hearts, but also with a deep sense of gratitude for the time we were given with him. His laughter, his stories, and his unwavering love will continue to inspire us. Though Mike may have left this world, the impact he had on the lives of those he touched will endure forever.
