Beverly C. (Gioiosa) Jeanetti, a spirited and loving cornerstone of her community, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on October 27, 1933, in Boston, MA, Beverly's infectious laughter and generous spirit enriched the lives of all who knew her.
As the wife of the late Alfred Jeanetti, whom she married on November 22, 1953, Beverly's devotion to family was unparalleled. Their partnership was a true testament to love and support until Alfred's passing in 1997. She was the cherished daughter of the late Salvatore and Catherine Gioiosa and a beacon of maternal love to her children, Karen and Stephen Jeanetti of Hyde Park, Laura Cirino and her husband Steven of Foxboro, and the late Richard Jeanetti, survived by his wife Jody of Wrenthan, the late Michael Jeanetti, and the late Patricia Jeanetti.
Beverly was a treasured sister to Jean DiSanto of Canton and preceded in death by her sisters Shirley Peznola and Irene Casciano. Her warm embrace extended to her role as "Nana" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose lives she brightened with love and laughter. Her adoration for them was evident in every smile she shared with Richard, Candra, Sheena, Tara, Michael, Jesse-James, Brytnie, Victoria, Nico, Makayla, Steven, Michelle, and Donnie, along with her great-grandchildren JC, Richard, Cherish, Ava, Michael, JoJo, Violet, and Ronan.
Beverly's legacy includes her enduring friendships, particularly with long-time friends Robert Cross and Catherine Andrews. Her Hyde Park High School classmates will recall her as a cheerful cheerleader and graceful swimmer, graduating with the class of 1951. Beverly's dedication to her community was evident during her impressive 45-year tenure as a Sergeant for the Boston School Police Force, where she worked throughout the Boston Public School System, retiring at the age of 82. Despite her petite stature, she was known for her courage and determination in maintaining safety and order.
A woman of many passions, Beverly's interests were as diverse as they were engaging. The matriarch of family gatherings, she ensured that every Christmas, Easter, and holiday was spent surrounded by loved ones, with her home filled with the mouthwatering aroma of Italian cuisine, especially her beloved meatballs. Beverly's love for excitement was seen through her fondness for gambling, evident in her many planned trips with friends to Raynham Dog Track, Foxwoods casinos, and Saratoga to bet on horses and dogs. She reveled in the thrill of Bingo at Foxwoods, setting up squares for football games, and cheering on her bets.
Travel was another of Beverly's joys, and together with her husband and friends, the Ricciardis and Capelettis, they explored destinations such as Turks and Caicos, Aruba, Florida, and cherished memories at Cape Cod, Wareham, and Nantasket Beach with her grandchildren. Her competitive spirit shone through in her participation in "Billy Jacks Bowling League" at Empire Lanes and her commanding presence behind the wheel of the biggest Cadillac in town.
Beverly loved to hang out at the Cavan Cafe with her Breakfast Buddies. Beverly adored all of them as much as they adored her they called Beverly the QUEEN. They welcomed her with open arms they were her guardian angels.
The Jeanetti family would love to thank them for always being there for Queen Beverly.
Beverly's legacy is one of humor, generosity, and enduring love. Her impact on the lives she touched will be felt for generations to come. She lived a life that exemplified the richness that comes from embracing every moment with joy and a hearty laugh. Her family and friends will carry forward the essence of Beverly's vibrant spirit in their hearts forever.
Though Beverly has departed from this world, her light continues to shine in the memories and stories shared by her loving family, numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. Her journey through life was a dance of joy, love, and laughter, and she will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
