Rita Mildred Hastings, age 97, of Hyde Park, Massachusetts, passed away on July 3, 2019 at 1:45 p.m.in Haverhill, MA. All services are private. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Maryknoll Catholic Missions in honor of her great-nephew, Father Ernest Brunelle (https://maryknollsociety.org/).

Rita was born Rita Mildred Chaplain on January 24, 1922 in Holbrook, Mass. to Frank E. Chaplain and Mildred Ella Snow. She is pre-deceased by her parents and her sons Robert and James Chaplain. Rita was the last surviving child of Frank and Mildred. She is survived by her children Charles, Susan (Brooks) and Sandra (Landguth), several grandchildren and a niece Beverly Richardson of Tyngsboro.
