O'CONNELL-McGONAGLE, Joan T. (Gillen) Of Hyde Park passed peacefully on September 5th at the age of 83. Former wife of the late Frank O'Connell. Devoted mother of Daniel O'Connell and his wife Lisa of West Roxbury and the late Thomas and his surviving wife Denise of Hyde Park. Stepmother of Patrick and Jean McGonagle. Cherished sister of Barbara Sullivan of Dorchester, George Gillen of Hyde Park, John Gillen of Plymouth and the late Elizabeth "Betty" Macdonald. Loving Nana of Daniel, Shane and Sean O'Connell. Loving aunt of Linda Sullivan of Dorchester and also survived by many other nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Funeral from the Carroll-Thomas Funeral Home, 22 Oak St., HYDE PARK Monday morning at 11, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne's Church, Readville at 12. Visiting hours Sunday from 4 to 8. Children's room available. Interment at Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury. Relatives and friends invited. Joan was a long-time manager of data processing at Filene's in Boston.
